Description
Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Portland, Oregon
*Hybrid position

Portland Opera is undergoing a transformation, as we transition to a new artistic home while remaining steadfast in our commitment to both innovative new works and the timeless classics of the opera repertoire.
We are seeking a highly organized, detailed, self-managed Senior Accountant who will provide accurate financial information to the Chief Financial Officer.
This is a non-exempt position which reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer who provides an engaging work environment where your ideas and questions are always welcome and encouraged!
ARE YOU PASSIONATE AND INTRIGUED BY?
- Providing support to all accounting requirements of Portland Opera Association (POA) and Portland Theater Productions (PTP, a subsidiary).
- Assisting with monthly and year-end close processes.
- Preparing reports for annual audits, tax filings, etc.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- 5 years related Accounting experience
- Excellent hands-on experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and accounting software systems
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with financial information
- Understanding of basic GAAP

- Compensation Structure: This position offers a non-exempt hourly pay range of $39 - $45/per hour, dependent on experience, with the below benefits:
