Description
If you love to help youth explore STEAM, and you want to nurture a community that empowers them to create a bright future for themselves, then we encourage you to get in touch!
Through our programs, C4K provides our members valuable access to a broad range of resources that will help them to develop skills and relationships - now and throughout their academic and professional lives. We benefit from deep and broad support from the local community we are a part of.
Our Programs
Our mentoring programs help youth from low-income households explore STEAM. Through connecting with supportive adults, building social-emotional and technical skills, and completing challenging projects, participants discover new opportunities and pathways for their future. In our Clubhouse, our makerspace provides a range of STEAM tools for individuals and groups to explore, learn, and create.
Our field trips give members access to real professionals and organizations to learn about potential career choices and educational opportunities, while our workshops help members and mentors to learn skills and discover new areas of interests in STEAM.
This is an important leadership role, and we are looking forward to learning about your prior experience in meeting each of the following key responsibilities.
Program Design and Execution
Develop and deliver mission-aligned programs that appeal to our members while incorporating STEAM education best practices and established youth development principles.
Program Evaluation
Use qualitative and quantitative approaches to evaluate program outcomes, inform improvement of program strategies, and ensure alignment with funding requirements.
Staff and Volunteer Management
Provide the tools and training that staff and mentors need to deliver fun and effective experiences for volunteers and youth, while tracking the status and development of member-mentor projects.
Budget and Resource Management
Develop and manage program budgets, and provide reports to support financial oversight and planning.
Community Engagement
Identify the resources that will enhance C4K’s work, and grow partnerships that will provide them, while building on C4K’s reputation as a trusted resource in the STEAM education and mentoring communities.
