General Summary:

This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the New Jersey Connect for Recovery and Peer Recovery Warm-line Peers. This position requires knowledge and experience of 12-step support groups, knowledge, and understanding of the addicted family system.  This position requires knowledge and understanding of the principles of Wellness and Recovery. This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with diverse and multi-cultural individuals, be non-judgmental, and respectful of the confidential nature of the job.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Leadership:
    • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to New Jersey Connect for Recovery and Peer Recovery Warm Line staff.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Ensure adherence to program policies and procedures.
    • Demonstrate ability to work independently and provide services at remote locations as necessary.
  2. Program Management:
    • Oversee the New Jersey Connect for Recovery and Peer Recovery Warm Line staff, which provides emotional support and assistance to family members and individuals  dealing with substance use disorder.
    • Monitor call volume, quality of interactions, and overall program effectiveness.
    • Collaborate with other team members to enhance program services.
  3. Training and Development:
    • Conduct training sessions for staff.
    • Stay informed about substance use disorder trends, treatment options, and community resources.
    • Support ongoing professional development for team members.
  4. Data Collection and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of calls, interactions, and outcomes.
    • Prepare regular reports on program metrics and trends.
    • Identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other program supervisors, staff, and external partners.
    • Participate in meetings, trainings, and collaborative initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., social work, psychology, counseling).
  • Experience in substance use disorder prevention, treatment, or recovery.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to supporting families affected by substance use.
  • Creativity and optimism and the able to tolerate and appreciate others’ differences
  • Functional knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft software and internet.

Salary Range: $65,000 to $75,000
