About the Organization:

Haven Ministries is an evangelical Christian media ministry with an estimated daily audience of 500,000 for the Haven Today radio broadcast, heard on 600+ stations across North America. The ministry also publishes Anchor Devotional, a daily devotional printed monthly and a syndication of about 10,000. The mission of Haven Ministries is to “engage and encourage people to behold and follow Jesus Christ.” Our tagline on the air is, “Sharing the Great Story that’s all about Jesus.” To support our ministry efforts, we are seeking a full-time Major Donor Development/Stewardship Representative.

Hours: Full-time, salaried exempt.

Compensation: Competitive; negotiable depending on experience

Overview:

This role plays a vital part in fostering long-term, sustainable funding for Haven Ministries. More than just securing donations, this position is a ministry—focused on building meaningful, faith-driven relationships with donors. Under the guidance of the Director of Project Management, the Major Donor Development / Stewardship Representative will cultivate and steward donor relationships with pastoral sensitivity, aligning their giving interests with the mission and needs of Haven.

Key Responsibilities:

• Personally engage with donors, completing thank-you calls in accordance with Haven’s procedures.
• Develop and steward a portfolio of donors with the capacity to make significant gifts.
• Strengthen donor relationships by deepening their connection to Haven’s mission and encouraging greater discipleship through generosity.
• Plan and execute quarterly donor engagement initiatives to foster affinity, increase involvement, and provide meaningful ministry to donors.
• Respond to planned giving inquiries, assess donor capacity and interest, and leverage resources from the Barnabas Foundation to guide donors through their planned giving options.

Other Duties Include:

• Collaborate with the Director of Project Management to develop and implement donor engagement strategies.
• Utilize best practices and resources from the Barnabas Foundation to enhance planned giving efforts.
• Support and guide donors in aligning their financial goals with ministry support through planned giving strategies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of planned giving interactions and donor portfolio progress.
• Travel as needed to engage with donors and support fundraising efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This position is instrumental in ensuring Haven Ministries’ financial strength and sustainability through thoughtful donor engagement and effective planned giving strategies. By fostering lasting relationships and ministering to donors, the Major Donor Development / Stewardship Representative will play a key role in advancing Haven’s mission for years to come.
