Job Summary
The Local Coordinator plays a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating community programs aimed at supporting students and enhancing their educational experiences. This position requires a dynamic individual who can effectively manage volunteer efforts, engage with students, and foster partnerships within the community. The Local Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting host family volunteers, and ensuring that all initiatives align with the organization's mission.

Responsibilities
- Vetting volunteer host families.
- Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination to ensure effective program delivery.
- Collaborate with local schools and communities to identify needs and promote hosting foreign exchange students up to and including tabling events.
- Educate volunteers and community members about program goals and best practices with orientations.
- Monthly monitoring of all participants.
- Attend training meetings at least once a month.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities, student participation, and program outcomes.

Qualifications
- Must be 25yrs of age and pass a background check.
- Experience working with students in an educational or community setting is highly desirable but not required.
- Strong passion for working with high school age students and building cultural awareness within communities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a diverse audience.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with a variety of personalities to achieve common goals.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple students and host families.
- Passion for community service and improving educational outcomes for students.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $1,000.00 - $10,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 4 – 10 per week
