Team Overview
The Impact Team, which houses our Measurement, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Team, works closely with RFA practice leads, program leads, and operational staff to lead an ambitious enterprise-wide Learning Agenda, and develops and implements the appropriate systems, tools and processes to answer learning agenda questions. This team is responsible for ensuring RFA is advancing its theory of change and provides opportunities for data informed decision-making to ensure RFA is meeting its strategic priorities and overall impact.
Position Overview
The Junior Analyst will be a member of RFA’s MEL team and directly support up to five (5) local practice/program teams with their data analysis needs. Specifically, the Junior Analyst will work with the MEL team to implement and refine data collection and reporting strategies towards RFA’s enterprise-wide learning. They will also work directly with RFA’s local program teams, whose programming supports cities, counties, and local education agencies and workforce boards within them; together, they will work to implement evidence-based spending strategies and evidence-based solutions through short and long-term cohort learning opportunities.
Results for America is seeking a team member with an Analyst skill set who is passionate about improving government and community outcomes; experienced with both quantitative and qualitative research and analysis methods; an excellent critical thinker; a well-organized project manager; and a skilled communicator.
Travel up to 10% annually may be required.
This is a full time, exempt position, based in a home office anywhere within the U.S.
Position Reporting Relationship
The Junior Analyst will report to RFA’s Vice President, MEL, with occasional oversight from/collaboration with the AD, Data and Impact Measurement.
Position Responsibilities
Data analysis (50%)
With project-based oversight and partnership from the assigned local practice/program team lead, and in coordination with the MEL team’s broader enterprise-wide implementation plan:
- Contribute to the development of data collection and analysis plans and program-specific learning agendas;
- Collect, clean, prepare and merge data sets for analysis;
- Conduct primary and secondary analysis of qualitative and quantitative data collected from a variety of sources, including, but not limited to, pre and post-program surveys and interviews, program participant intake forms, Salesforce program data, and publicly available databases;
- Prepare preliminary headlines based on the analysis results that contribute to program evaluation and improvement and help answer research questions as outlined in various program team learning agendas; and
- Contribute to the development of findings that identify trends and common lessons across various program models.
Presentation and reporting (25%)
With project-based oversight and partnership from the assigned local practice/program team lead:
- Utilize data visualization tools and platforms to create accessible, user friendly visualizations, data dashboards and reports;
- Prepare drafts of data decks and support program teams in finalizing funder and executive team presentations;
- Develop and maintain documentation that describes the processes for how analyses are completed, reports are developed, data is integrated, etc.;
- Participate in cross-team data meetings to share relevant data findings across various programs; and
- Support cross-collaborative learning via the facilitation and management of routine learning meetings and opportunities.
Data management (25%)
- Under the direction of the Associate Director, Data and Impact Measurement, clean and organize RFA’s proprietary and programmatic data in accordance with RFA’s data entry conventions and business processes;
- Create and organize programmatic reports in Salesforce; and
- Contribute to program teams’ contributions to and use of the Salesforce platform.

Experience, Competencies, and Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications, as well as an alignment with Results for America’s mission and organizational values:
Experience
- 6 - 8 years of work experience and Bachelors degree;
- Prior relevant work experience in data analysis;
- Work experience within government (federal, state, and/or county/city) valued.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in project management software (Asana), Excel, PowerPoint;
- Data visualization software experience (Tableau preferred);
- Proficiency in working with data management systems, including ability to create reports and dashboards (proficiency in Salesforce desired but not required);
- Knowledge and experience utilizing statistical research methods;
- Expertise in descriptive and predictive analytics;
- Ability to understand and interpret quantitative data and synthesize findings and translate into usable insights that drive understanding and action.

Salary and Benefits
Results for America offers a compensation package that includes:
- A competitive base salary commensurate with relevant work experience; and
- A benefits package that includes choice in medical plans; dental/vision coverage; paid time off; a 403b retirement plan with employer contribution.
The salary range for this position is $81,576 - $92,906.
New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary between the range minimum and the salary range midpoint depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role.
