About Us:
Springfield Right to Life/Two Hearts Pregnancy Help Center is a faith-based, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, life-affirming care to women, men, and families facing unplanned pregnancies. Our mission is to support, educate, and empower individuals to make informed, life-affirming decisions. We offer free resources, including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling, parenting classes, and material assistance, with a Christ-centered approach.
Position Summary:
The Executive Director will provide visionary leadership, overseeing the day-to-day operations, development, and strategic direction of the Pregnancy Help Center. The Executive Director will be responsible for the overall administration, financial management, program development, staff and volunteer management, fundraising, and community engagement. The role requires a servant-hearted leader who can communicate the mission effectively while ensuring the sustainability and growth of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Vision:
- Provide spiritual, operational, and strategic leadership, ensuring the center aligns with its mission and Christian values.
- Lead the development and implementation of short- and long-term goals, ensuring the center's growth and sustainability.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson for the organization, representing the center in the community, media, and public forums.
Board Relations:
- Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and implement policies, strategic plans, and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with the Board, providing timely updates on the center's activities, challenges, and financial status.
- Assist in board recruitment and development to strengthen governance and leadership.
Program Development:
- Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that meet the needs of the center's clients.
- Ensure all programs are delivered with a compassionate, non-judgmental, and life-affirming approach.
- Stay informed on best practices for pregnancy help centers and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Fundraising & Donor Relations:
- Develop and execute fundraising strategies to ensure the financial health of the center, including events, grant writing, donor cultivation, and major gift campaigns.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, churches, businesses, and community stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage annual fundraising events, ensuring they align with the mission and goals of the center.
Financial Management:
- Oversee the financial health of the organization, ensuring responsible budgeting, financial planning, and reporting.
- Work with the Board of Directors to develop and manage an annual budget that aligns with the center's goals.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and maintain transparency in financial reporting.
Staff & Volunteer Management:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage staff and volunteers, fostering a supportive, collaborative, and Christ-centered work environment.
- Provide leadership and support to staff, ensuring they have the resources and tools necessary to succeed in their roles.
- Promote professional development and growth opportunities for staff and volunteers.
Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Strengthen relationships with local churches, community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
- Promote the center's services through community outreach, public speaking, and partnerships.
- Serve as a liaison between the center and local community partners, enhancing visibility and reputation.
Qualifications:
- Committed Christian with a deep personal faith and a calling to uphold the sanctity of human life.
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, preferably in a faith-based organization.
- Strong fundraising experience, including donor cultivation, grant writing, and event planning.
- Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage staff, volunteers, and budgets.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage complex projects.
- Familiarity with pregnancy resource centers or pro-life ministry is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require some evenings and weekends to attend meetings, events, or fundraisers.
- Occasional travel may be required to attend conferences or network with community partners.
- A statement of faith will be required as a condition of employment.
