Description
Responsibilities
The duties for this contract include, but are not limited to:
- Relaunching the APS database by working with dLCV’s contracted information technology support provider to install the APS database within Microsoft Azure
- Developing and implementing a system capable of cross-referencing data between all databases
- Migrating data from a complimentary Microsoft Access database to the APS database
- Implementing database enhancements to strengthen database functionality and user experience
- Ensuring database security, data storage, and data backup
- Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor existing databases for usability and capable of being supported by technical support parties
- Troubleshooting any new and existing database issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer related field is preferred
- Proficient in software development and database development
- Knowledge of Python, MySQL, Linux, and Microsoft Azure
- Proficient in operating a windows-based platform
- Ability to efficiently troubleshoot and solve problems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate well with individuals from multiple organizations
- Commitment to advancing and protecting disability rights
