Job Summary:
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated communications and marketing plan that effectively drives Behring Global Educational Foundation & Wheelchair Foundation’s strategy. The Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning, execution, evaluation, and continued enhancement of all communications and marketing programs reflecting industry best practices to maximize philanthropic giving from donors and prospects.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, manage, and implement a multi-channel annual marketing and communications plan that includes social media, print, and digital content, and email marketing.
- Oversee the development, design, distribution, and maintenance of high-quality print and electronic collateral including, but not limited to brochures, presentation materials, appeal letters, mass email communication and newsletters.
- Lead the strategy and generation of engaging digital content for BGEF and Wheelchair Foundation’s website, social media, and email channels that leads to measurable action.
- Track and measure the level of engagement in all communications vehicles.
- Work closely with BGEF & Wheelchair Foundation’s development staff on fundraising strategies, including donor meetings/presentations, appeals and events.
- Responsible for Foundation brand management and compliance ensuring that brand identity, messaging, and marketing and communications strategy are infused in all Foundation efforts.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns related to programs, special events, and donor cultivation.
- Manage relationship with graphic designer vendor.
Marketing:
- Responsible for creating, implementing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program that will enhance the Foundation’s image and position within the community.
- Lead development of Global Educational Foundation’s marketing and communications strategy and ensure adherence to the brand guidelines.
- Drive achievement of the goals and objectives of the marketing and communications strategy.
- Ensure evaluation systems are in place related to goals and objectives, and report progress to the Executive Leadership Team and staff.
- Prudently manage the Communications and Marketing budget.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree – Preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 3-5 years professional fundraising experience and program management in communications and marketing with a proven record of achievement and success.
- Experience with a fundraising CRM system. The Raiser’s Edge preferred.
Skills:
- Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and experience in the design and execution of marketing and communications plans, brand management and compliance, design and production of online and print materials, implementation of successful digital and social marketing campaigns.
- Excellent communication skills required, both verbally and in writing, with strong customer service orientation. Must have ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of constituents
- Accuracy and speed using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Must have advanced knowledge and high comfort level analyzing data to make informed recommendations and decisions.
- Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with a high degree of professionalism.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent reading, writing, research and editing skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic with initiative to creatively solve problems, improve efficiencies and exceed expectations.
- Must have transportation and availability to work some nights and weekends as needed.
