Description
The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases is seeking an Annual Giving Manager to join its team.
The EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases (EveryLife Foundation) is a science-based nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy organization dedicated to bringing treatments to over 30 million Americans with rare diseases. The Foundation works with patient advocates, lawmakers, industry, academic scientists, federal agencies, payers, and other key stakeholders to advance the equitable development of and access to lifesaving diagnoses, treatments, and cures.
The Annual Giving Manager supports the comprehensive annual giving strategy to grow philanthropic support. They will collaborate with the fundraising team, as well as the rest of the organization and key stakeholders to build a donor pipeline and enhance donor retention, ensuring sustained growth in annual revenue to support the Foundation’s mission. This position reports to the Vice President of Individual Giving.
This position may be a fully remote position, not based in the Washington, D.C. office.
Responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:
- Work as part of the fundraising team to execute EveryLife Foundation’s annual fundraising plan;
- Provide support in annual giving to increase donor acquisition, retention, and engagement;
- Manage direct mail, email, and digital fundraising campaigns, ensuring timely execution and effective messaging;
- Collaborate with the team to create compelling donor appeals, impact reports, and stewardship materials;
- Track donor data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas for improvement;
- Research individual donor prospects;
- Cultivate relationships with entry and mid-level donors and work with the fundraising team to build a pipeline for major gifts;
- Coordinate donor recognition programs and events, ensuring all donors are acknowledged appropriately;
- Provide support in obtaining financial support from individuals, foundations, non-industry corporations, and other community stakeholders;
- Utilize Salesforce to update and maintain applicable contacts and meeting notes, with a high degree of accuracy and completeness;
- Participate in Foundation events; and
- Other duties as assigned.
Occasional travel, weekend, and evening work may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Annual Giving Manager will have:
- 2-3 years of experience in individual giving, development or fundraising;
- CRM experience, preferably Salesforce;
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to draft, copy edit, and speak publicly.
BENEFITS
This is a full-time, direct-hire position. The salary for this position is commensurate with experience, ranging from $62,000 - $67,000 if located in the Washington, D.C. area, and $56,500 - $60,000 if outside a commutable distance. The benefits package includes health, vision, and dental insurance, FSA, wellness reimbursement, cellphone stipend, WIFI stipend, 401k 6% match, and generous paid leave.
